Agriculure and food production

Many households in rural areas in Africa have their own small patch of land

that provides families with vegetables, corn or other products. With better

knowledge, support and following up to local farmers, these patches can yield

even better returns, and improve the finances of families and communities.

Through a well-proven training program small farmers are given access to

research-based and good proven cultivation methods that can bring larger

crops, at the same time as the natural basis of the soil is taken care of in

order for future sustainability.

Highlights of the program include areas such as;

- Preparation, development and maintenance of the agricultural field

- Production and use of natural fertilizers

- Optimization of processes related to planting, weed control and harvesting

- How to plan for a variety in use of crops

- Storing grain locally to assist with assistance when needed

The program provides training to local farmers, and young people without work

will receive support to rent and operate available land so they can manage to support themselves and their own families
